Identification of initial events of cascading failures using graph theory methods

In power systems, the unintentional outage of a grid element can lead to overload and other equipment and, through domino effect, all or large part system may collapse. The resulting events are called cascading, consecutive, sequential failures. So far, various methods have been proposed identify initial cascading failures with different levels accuracy computational load. this paper, an effective approach is employed which, by calculating maximum flow independent paths between generators loads in network graph, identifies critical lines transformers so-called cascade To validate method, enumeration method utilized. implemented IEEE 118-bus test results indicative its efficiency, fastness compared methods.
